Dynamic Test shot

We have the edited version of our test shot which we shot a couple of weeks ago. Pretty much nothing was pre-planned except for, we had the idea of,' Guys lets shoot something cool like ...blah blah..' and then we landed up in this location that made me tempted to shoot all this craziness. I took the direction and my buddies Weverton and Pedro did a wonderful job of capturing all the action. Great job guys!. Since no one was willing to jump over short fences I had to eventually do it and bear with all their consecutive takes, haha.

We pretty much shot most of it with Canon T3i and a secondary Canon camera for few other shots. Obviously we wanted to play around with the 60 fps at 720p in T3i. Hope you guys could notice it during the jump shots. Though it was not extraordinary it was sure a fun to test it.

It was indeed to get some bgm to feel things going on but eventually got some random bits and pieces of a game trailer. Did you guys guess it buy now ?.

Though it might not be something spectacular it was needed a good fun to do it. Learnt a lot of tricks and pieces which might helps us do our main short film which under pre-production now. Hope you guys had atleast some fun laughing at some craziness. Feel free to leave any comments below.

Upcoming cool short projects.

Its been quite long since I last updated my blog. But now I am back again with some cool short sequences we shot over last couple of weeks.

The first project was something we never intended for. When we landed near Capilano University for scouting locations I thought why not try some fast paced camera movements. So I teamed up with my friends Weverton and Pedro to execute some on the spot shooting stunts. Eventually I had to do lots and lots of takes for the jumps inspite of having a party late eve the same day. But was all fun and worth to see the output. Will be uploading the shots pretty soon.

After the Capilano scouting, we did visit a nearby a old abandoned factory, which was amazingly cool place to shoot. The only thing was, the day we went unfortunately happened to be rainy. But we still did get some cool sequences of shots. We were lucky enough to shoot two small projects.

More updates on it soon.

Cebooola !!!!

It just happened few days back I was helping out my friend Pedro on his personal project.
We planned and did shoot some simple and complicated shots for him. And we thought why not try to do some fun filled ' ceboola ' project. Ceboola like my friend Weverton calls for ' quick and dirty'. But i believe its not that bad. We just dragged ours friends Shane and YongMin to join the acting party. Andre helped us on match moving. I literally gave them some quick ideas on executing a simple shot.

Nice job guys !

And here it is our 'Ceboola project' completed in abt 5 hrs (excluding render time...hehehe)

Quick facts:
Team work
Nothing fancy, complicated but simple and fun filled one

My UFO and Desert Project - Screenshots

We had the screening of our weekly projects at our new LBS studio yesterday. Was quite exciting, after all it was our last week of UFO project screening.

Project UFO:

Even though the name says UFO we had the freedom to extend it through any mechanical object interaction. I always loved the fun in making a interaction between  live character elements and CG objects. So its like a hovering scout ship shooting randomly at two civilians trying to flee from the war zone area. Would be working on making a breakdown for the shot very soon.

Here is a screenshot from video.

Project Desert:

The other screenshot i am about show u guys is my personal project called as Desert. This is still a work in progress shot. My aim here was to make a 'Epic shot' kinda feel to it with a extended camera pull out. The fun part in executing the project was doing camera pullout without using any crane or rig but pulling it out in virtual 3d environment. Its a full CG environment except for good friend Pedro in it who we shot separately in our old studio back parking lot on very lucky sunny day ( its Canada :) !!) and rotoed him back in the shot.

Project Desert screenshot:

Right now i am working on adding the dynamic environment to the shot. Its been going through a lots of lighting and look development treatment.I would soon try to get the video sequence online. If you guys have any suggestions till then just throw them out.

UFO Project: Model

Here is the UFO-work in progress model for the start up.

Its all done by me from concept to modelling in Maya.
Very soon i will be uploading the sneak peak of my UFO Project shot. Its basically a shot where a scout ship
shoots randomly at two civilians running across war zone set in a post apocalyptic tone. Happy the way it seems to progress.
